     "Citadels for our Planet" is a tribute to the "monumentality" of the Antarctic landscape. These paintings capture the staggering size and beauty of these edifices of snow and ice. They also serve as reminders of Antartica's monumental task to safeguard low-lying communities, cities -  indeed our planet from catastrophes. "Citadels for our Planet" consists of nine oil paintings on 8" x 10" boards, as a singular artwork. Not one vista captures the breadth of shapes, dimensions, and colors that one can see. As a collection, one is offered a glimpse of  these pristine and silent sentinels.
